AASB Letter to School Boards Regarding MHS and Sample Documents

The Alabama Association of School Boards sent out this letter to each school system originally on July 7, 2022 regarding the Mental Health Services law. On September 8, 2022 the state board of education approved further definition of the new law and AASB resent this email and attached supporting documents to further guide school systems.

These documents should help you as parents better understand what is and is not included in the new Mental Health Coordinators initiative and opt in requirements.
